Accept any payment method, anywhere your customers are

Stripe for global. Razorpay for India. Dodo Payments for cross-border merchant-of-record. Manual for COD. Three real choices, one checkout.

Most ecommerce platforms ship one payment integration and call it done. The second integration is bolt-on. The third is a hack. The fourth never happens, so you lose the customer who wanted to pay with UPI in India or with Apple Pay in the US.

Mercemur ships three payment integrations on day one, each maintained as a real provider. Stripe Connect for international cards and digital wallets. Razorpay for the full India stack (UPI, cards, RuPay, net banking). Dodo Payments for cross-border merchant-of-record scenarios where you do not want to handle international tax. Manual payments for COD, wire transfers, and offline reconciliation. Refunds reconcile with the provider automatically.

You ship a checkout that fits each market. Funds go directly to your accounts. You stay in control.

Dodo Payments

Cross-border merchant-of-record

Use case

Selling globally without local tax registrations

How it works

Dodo becomes merchant-of-record, handles tax compliance

Best for

Digital products, SaaS, global subscriptions

Manual payments

For payments that do not run through a processor: Cash on delivery (COD), Bank wire transfer, Cheque payments, Trade credit (net 30, net 60), Offline reconciliation for invoiced orders.

Manual payments share the same order timeline as processor-based payments. The customer places the order, the merchant marks it as paid when funds arrive, the fulfillment workflow runs as normal.

Partial refunds with provider reconciliation

Refund part of an order from the admin. Mercemur talks to the right payment processor and updates both the order ledger and the processor in one action.

How it works:

  1. 1Admin clicks 'issue refund' on the order
  2. 2Admin enters the refund amount (full or partial)
  3. 3Mercemur calls the appropriate processor (Stripe, Razorpay, or Dodo) with the refund amount
  4. 4The processor refunds the customer
  5. 5The order ledger updates with the refund record
  6. 6The customer gets a refund confirmation email
  7. 7Inventory restocks (if configured)

No CSV reconciliation at month-end. The order and the processor agree on the refund amount.

Dispute handling

When a customer disputes a charge:

S

Stripe

Dispute notifications arrive through Stripe webhooks. The order in Mercemur surfaces the dispute. Respond to the dispute through Stripe's dashboard or through the Mercemur admin.

R

Razorpay

Razorpay's refund webhook handles disputes that resolve as refunds. Other dispute types appear in your Razorpay dashboard.

D

Dodo

Dodo handles the dispute on your behalf as merchant-of-record.

How payouts work

You receive payouts directly to your own accounts:

Stripe payouts go to your connected Stripe account on Stripe's payout schedule (typically daily after a 2 to 7 day rolling reserve).

Razorpay settlements go to your Razorpay account, typically T+2 or T+3 settlement to your bank.

Dodo payouts go on Dodo's payout schedule, less the tax remittance.

Mercemur never holds your funds and takes no cut of the charge. The full amount settles to your own account on your processor's schedule.

Why three providers

A single payment provider rarely covers every market. Stripe is best-in-class internationally but lacks UPI. Razorpay is dominant in India but limited internationally. Dodo solves the tax-compliance pain for cross-border digital sales. Together, they cover the full set of merchant needs.

You connect what you need:

Selling only in India: connect Razorpay

Selling only internationally: connect Stripe

Selling globally: connect both

Selling globally without tax overhead: connect Dodo

Selling B2B with COD or wire transfers: enable manual payments

How to connect

  1. 1

Admin payments page. Visit the payments settings.

  2. 2

Click 'Connect' on each provider you want. Stripe is an OAuth flow. Razorpay and Dodo prompt for API keys.

  3. 3

Configure default provider per region. India region defaults to Razorpay. Other regions default to Stripe. Override per region as needed.

  4. 4

Enable test mode first. Run a test order end-to-end to confirm the flow.

  5. 5

Flip to live mode. Start accepting real payments.

Use cases

India DTC brand

Razorpay handles 95% of orders (UPI is dominant). Stripe handles the 5% of international visitors. Refunds reconcile automatically.

International SaaS

Stripe for monthly and annual subscriptions. Dispute notifications through Stripe webhooks. Connected-account architecture means payouts go straight to the merchant's bank.

Global digital products business

Dodo Payments as merchant-of-record so the merchant does not have to register for VAT in every EU country. Customers see Dodo on their statement. Tax compliance is handled.

India B2B wholesale

Razorpay for online orders. Manual payment for COD and wire-transfer orders from large buyers. Draft orders for sales-call quotes.

Multi-region brand

Razorpay for India region. Stripe for US and EU regions. Dodo for the rest of the world. Each region's checkout shows the right provider automatically.

Subscription box business

Stripe Connect subscriptions for recurring billing. Refunds reconcile when boxes are skipped or canceled.
